Last Friday, we were lucky enough to have Southampton City Mission come to Year 2 and teach us about Christianity for part of our RE unit. 

We had a lot of fun! Reuben taught us about advent, where we had a relay to be the first to create an advent wreath. (The wreath itself is hidden below the candles on this one!!)

Reuben then shared the Christmas story with us, we had some amazing actors who showed us what happened at the same time as Reuben reciting it for us!

We ended our afternoon making our own Advent Candles, we drew an image from the Christmas story, added some tissue paper flames and stuck them together to create the candle shape!
