Visit to Hythe
As part of our Geography topic of the local area, Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed walking to the village and visiting the library. For those that were not already a member, they became members and had their own card. They enjoyed choosing a book and scanning their new card! 
Then, as part of our maths curriculum and learning about money, we brought it to life by visiting a bakery to buy a cake! The children had to decide if they could afford their chosen cake, pay and then wait for their change and receipt. This was such a treat and their manners were amazing.
